Development in area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) sets sights on reviving Brownfield site.
Leading housebuilder Latimer, has reached a major milestone at its Water Meadow Place development, in Elstead Surrey, with the launch of its show home. Situated on the banks of the River Wey in the Surrey Hills AONB, the boutique development of 69 homes, on a former warplane factory site, will launch its show home this weekend, Saturday 5th October.
Running from 10am-5pm, the event on Shackleford Road will offer a glimpse into the development’s mix of three, four and five bedroom homes which are due for completion by late 2020.
Megan Davis Private Sales Manager at Latimer comments: “We can’t wait to open our doors and show people around the development. I imagine people who might remember the site’s military history will be struck with the natural habitats we’ve incorporated such as the river, grasslands, hedgerows and protected trees.
“The houses, developed by our local contractor Thakeham, showcase high-quality design in traditional materials which have been finessed with local details and features. These include porches, steep pitched roofs and barge boards on the facade, drawing from and complimenting, Elstead’s historic architecture.
Megan concludes: “Inside, the houses are contemporary with light-filled spaces and generous interiors, offering the flexibility modern life demands; whether people are looking to downsize or have room to grow their families.”
Buyers at Water Meadow Place will be able to move in to their new homes from the end of the year.
As part of Clarion, the UK’s largest Housing Association, Latimer aims to help tackle the housing crisis by increasing its pipeline of new build developments, with profits from all its developments reinvested into building more affordable homes and supporting communities.
