Latimer Sustainability Report 2024-2025 - strong progress
Great progress has been made over the past year.
The report outlines Latimer's performance against its 2025 Roadmap targets, with notable achievements including:
- 98.8% of construction waste diverted from landfill.
- 64.4% of homes completed with fossil fuel free heating systems.
- An average biodiversity net gain of 43.13% across projects gaining planning permission during Financial Year 2024/25.
- £15.3 million in verified social value generated.
- 93% customer satisfaction score.
Actions, not just words
Also featured are case studies on flagship schemes such as the deep retrofit of Sutton Dwellings in Chelsea, and the UK’s first Zero Bills affordable housing development, Hollymead Square, delivered in partnership with Octopus Energy and Hill Group.
The report introduces Latimer’s updated Sustainable Development Roadmap to 2030.

Looking ahead, we've set out a bold new Roadmap with ambitious targets across carbon, biodiversity, water efficiency and social impact. Our goal? To generate more than £90 million in verified social value and lead the way in future-proofed housing.
Sustainability is a core part of the foundation for how we approach development. This year’s report reflects our ambition to lead by example and to ensure that our homes deliver for the people who need them most, for the planet and for future generations. Gold Award: the UK's Most Sustainable Not-for-Profit Housebuilder
We're thrilled to have once again achieved the prestigious Gold Award for The UK's Most Sustainable Not-for-Profit Housebuilder, as recognised by the NextGeneration Benchmark.
For the second consecutive year, we’ve upheld our standing as the highest-ranked housing association developer and, for the first time, we've increased our position to become the second most sustainable homebuilder overall.
The NextGeneration Initiative is the sustainability benchmark for the UK's housebuilding sector. It evaluates the social, economic, and environmental performance of the top 25 housebuilders. The benchmark sets out the best practice and drives positive change across our industry. Our continued leadership in sustainability has cemented our position as a standout performer.
