Latimer's sustainability results surge in 2025/26
At Latimer, we're committed to creating homes and communities that have a positive and lasting impact on people and the environment. Our 2025/26 sustainability results show the progress we're making across key areas, from reducing construction waste and delivering fossil fuel free homes to enhancing biodiversity and creating social value. These achievements reflect our commitment to turning ambitious goals into measurable outcomes.
- 99.7% of construction waste diverted from landfill.
- 93.2% of homes completed with fossil fuel free heating systems.
- An average biodiversity net gain of 33.6% across projects gaining planning permission during Financial Year 2025/26.
- £27.99 million in verified social value generated.
- 96.5% of homes EPC B or above.
Actions, not just words
Also featured in the report are case studies on flagship schemes such as the Fossil Fuel Free homes at Twickenham Square, a regeneration programme in Merton at The Ravensbury Estate, and The Clare House redevelopment in Bow that will deliver 145 modern, social rented homes.

Looking ahead, we've set out a bold new Roadmap with ambitious targets across carbon, biodiversity, water efficiency and social impact. Our goal? To generate more than £90 million in verified social value and lead the way in future-proofed housing.

UK’s most sustainable housebuilder
Latimer achieved an overall score of 81, up three points on the previous year, moving from second to first place and securing both the Gold Award and the Crystal Award for highest Phase 1 score, which assesses publicly available information.
The result demonstrates a continued rise in performance, with Latimer climbing from ninth to first place in five years. It also reflects a broad-based approach to sustainability, with Latimer ranking first for communities and placemaking, socio-economic development, circular economy, and health, safety and environmental management.
Latimer's strongest performance came in areas that reflect its long-term approach to shaping places and communities. Scoring over 88% for communities, customer engagement and the quality of the places we create, and 100% for socio-economic development, the results underline its focus on creating places that respond to local needs and deliver long-term value.
As part of one of the largest providers of social housing in the UK, Latimer combines development expertise with long-term stewardship, reinvesting in homes and communities. This model underpins its role as a purpose-led master developer, where placemaking, affordable housing and social value are embedded from the outset.
The majority of Latimer's completed homes achieve EPC A or B ratings, with 96.5% delivered as fossil fuel free over the past year.
The need for more affordable homes is urgent, but how we build them matters as well. This year's report shows we are making good progress, while being clear that there is more to do. Our focus continues to be on applying what works consistently across our pipeline, alongside our partners and supply chain.
